I have now tried a few Face Theory products and here are my honest thoughts.
Face Theory resides in Sheffield, UK, but delivers all over the world. They aim to provide a high quality skin care, at an affordable price. They use active ingredients such as retinol and vitamin c and they’re a big fan of botanicals that aid formulas like green tea and chamomile.
Products are vegan, certified cruelty free and sustainably packaged. Free of parabens, silicones, PEGs, SLS, SLES, and mineral oils.
Here’s what I’ve tried:
Azeclear Azelaic Acid Serum 15% – £24.99
I love this serum! It has one of the highest percentages of of azelaic acid without perscription, a whopping 15%! Azalaic acid has anti-inflamatory properties, so it’s great for my rosacea and redness and even against acne causing bacteria. The serum itself absorbs quickly and can be used alongside any AHA/BHA’s that you’re using as it has a slightly different makeup. This formula also includes oatmeal, aloe vera and green tea to provide an extra antioxidant boost.
Rejuvenating Moisturiser M2 for Sensitive Skin – £11.99
This moisturiser includes oatmeal, cocoa butter, vitamin B5 and hyaluronic acid. It’s designed for sensitive skin to provide deep moisturisation. You can choose a mildy scented or unscented version. It has a thick consistency, but sadly, I just couldn’t get this to absorb into my skin. It moved around my face a lot and just wasn’t for me. However, there are so many 5 star reviews for it, so don’t just take my word on it.
Facial Spa Set, Pink and Green Clay Masks – £26.99 (Currently on sale)
Individually, these masks are £14.99 each, so, I thought this was a great buy with the application brush included. The clay masks are made from superfine French clay, organic argan and jojoba oils with premium bioactives to detoxify and exfoliate while balancing and hydrating skin.
The Pink Clay AHA Face Mask includes lactic acid and vitamin C and the Green Tea Rescue Mask includes green tea, chamomile and vitamin C. Both apply so nicely, they dry fairly quickly and leave your skin feeling amazing. The brush was really easy to clean and I like the bamboo handle. The pots are glass, so recyclable and reusable.
8-Piece Comedone Extractor Tool Set – £11.99
It’s not the best idea to poke and prod your skin willy nilly with sharp instruments. If you have a spot that is bleeding, it’s not ready to be popped! That being said, I can’t resist getting rid of those with an ugly big pimple head on it. I use this tool daily to help with these. They’re also good at tweezing stray hairs, or ingrown hairs.
The 8-piece set includes 5 extraction loop tools and 3 tweezer-style tools for the safe and precise removal of blackheads, whiteheads, and ingrown hair.
They’re made of surgical steel and are corrosion-proof. The angled hoops allow you to safely put pressure onto a pimple, without squeezing and bruising it.
