I don’t have much of my Dollibox subscription left, this being the penultimate month. So, I’m really hoping for a box like August’s, that wows me into requesting a subscription for Christmas.
Firstly, I love a good face mask and this spooky themed mask from Montagne Jeunesse fits perfectly for Halloween. Sadly, when I put it on, it wasn’t green as I expected, but a clear consistency once applied. So, entering the ‘ghoulish selfie’ was ruled out. However, it dried really quickly and peeled off easily and pain free. My skin felt smooth and free of deadskin. I would buy this mask again.
Secondly, I liked that Dollibox included another Kbeauty item. This time, from Heng Fang in the form of a liquid highlighter. I received shade number 2, which was a pale pink colour which easily blends into my foundation. It’s applied via a lipgloss style applicator, but it’s recommended that you use your fingers to pat it in.
My third favourite product, was the Palmer’s Coconut Formula Hand Cream (also for elbows and knees!). Now, I’m not usually big on coconut, but this is a reputable brand and I like that it’s in a handy handbag size of 60g(this is full sized). I know this brand is always ethically sourced and uses natural ingredients.
Again, Dollibox included a Schwartzkopf product. This was a travel sized OSIS hair spray, which in fairness, was a luxury sized travel size.
Sadly, there was a second hand and body lotion. I feel this is really poor planning from Dollibox. The only saving grace, is that it’s a massive tube, but the cranberries and cream scent is just too sweet for me.
Similarly, there was another wax melt, which we received not so long ago. Mermaid Wax Melts are handmade, soy wax and cruelty free. The scent I received was lavendar and it was a strong scent, which is a plus.
Overall a disappointing box, with just a couple of products I’ll keep. It’s a shame the other products weren’t focused around haloween. But fingers are crossed for a makeup heavy box next month!
